Get your walking shoes ready because tomorrow is the Palm Beach County Heart Walk to benefit the American Heart Association! It's scheduled to kick off tomorrow morning at 8am at the Meyer Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. And don't be intimidated if you're not in great shape. The course is only three miles long, there are going to be about 12,000 other people there, and it's for a great cause. The goal is to raise $700,000 which will go towards research, education, and programs aimed at fighting strokes and heart disease. Heart attacks and strokes are two of the leading causes of death in America. As such, the American Heart Association holds events like this to not only raise money but also to increase awareness about the risks and warning signs.
