Last Friday, Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson spoke in Palm Beach Gardens at a Black Republican Caucus of South Florida gala. The speaking event, which was held at PGA National Resort, was part of Carson’s recent effort to reach out to African-American voters. The candidate’s campaign has also been running a rap radio ad in Southern cities liked Miami, Atlanta, and Memphis. Although Carson became famous at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, he now resides with his family in Palm Beach.
